Two-hour workshop session includes the foundations of vocalizing. Various music genres are explored: Jazz, R&bB, Funk, Soul, Sacred/Gospel, and Pop music.
* Learn the proper techniques for breathing
* Identify the vowels for vocal enunciation and phrasing
* Understand how to use your vocal anatomy to gain greater sound, & projection
* Tailor “Your” vocal ability to gain power for style and delivery
PURPOSE/GOALS: The goals of the "Unlock Your Vocal Power" are to -
(1) Provide an understanding of the vocal structure and its mechanism
(2) To Examine good voice and articulation techniques through correct breathing exercises, explanation of good vocal tone & quality
(3) To introduce vocal phrasing and the correct use of vowel sounds
(4) Have attendees initiate and design a personalized repertoire
(5) Address stage presence
(6) Connect the Language of Musicians with the Language of Vocalists & vice versa
(7) Provide attendees with an outlet for live performance & offer constructive
