ABOUT SHERRY WILSON BUTLER
| Butler will lecture/demonstrate techniques, provide interactive singing with attendees, answer questions and speak to related life experiences about the music. Sherry Wilson Butler is a performing & recording artist, educator, workshop presenter, vocal coach/artist development specialist, entrepreneur, lyricist, and short story writer who is deeply rooted in the “Philly Sound” –through jazz, r&b, blues, gospel, pop, sacred jazz, and contemporary jazz. Butler has been serving the music industry for over 30 years, and the music education profession starting with pre-school children through students in high school, college, and post higher education for the past 20 years. Sherry has toured the U.S., Europe, and the Caribbean Islands as a lead vocalist with her bands, and as a back-up vocalist with both of Philly’s male crooning grammy award winners, Teddy Pendergrass, and Billy Paul. Sherry Wilson Butler’s contemporary jazz performance experiences have been with noted musicians Gerald Veasely, Monnette Sudler, the Arpeggio Jazz Ensemble, Barry Sames, John Blake, and Doc Gibbs, from the Emeril Live Show among others. |
