computer-based audio engineering

this weekly blockbuster
workshop series includes
lessons and practical
experience in Pro Tools,
Reason, FruityLoops, Audio
Mixing, and more. The
best part is that more
than half of the lessons
revolve around participants
creating there own music
projects. our aim is to
provide comfortable, information-rich

recording, 10-week comprehensive
workshop serieS - Level
I
This 10-week, certificate-based,
production and recording
workshop series meets
for one-hour per week.
it is a hands-on, totally
interactive learning series
that teaches the fundamentals
of music creation, production,
recording and audio engineering
using the latest computer
hardware and software
technologies. participants
learn how to effectively
configure and troubleshoot
D.A.W.'s (Digital Audio
Workstations), develop
and produce their own
original recording projects,
and use various tools
(i.e. compressors, equalizers,
effects, etc.) to mix
and master their projects.
cutting-edge software
programs such as pro tools,
reason, fruityloops (fl
studio), sound forge, etc.

- Level ii
level ii of the music
technology & recording
workshop series focuses
a lot more attention on
the art and science of
mixing and mastering.
understanding the basic
tools of the craft (compressors
and equalizers) is given
emphasis. there are several
live band recording projects
included in level ii.
lessons in music production
utilize reason and fruityloops
as composition tools.
Sound processing devices
such as delay, reverb,
expanders, etc. are explored.
basic audio encoding (mp3,
podcasts, ringtones, etc.)
is discussed. The completion
of level ii is based on
participant progress and
an understanding of the
core concepts. also, certificate-based.

- Level iii
the final level of
our workshop series require
participants to serve
as studio apprentices,
involved in commercial
recording projects. level
iii participants have
mastered the concepts
in the previous levels.
exploring cutting-edge
and future technologies
is a key component of
level iii. understanding
internet-based music distribution
and setting up music-based,
e-commerce sites is one
of the most exciting aspects
of this final workshop
level. completion of level
iii is based on mastery
of all workshop levels.
at the time of completion,
participants will have
developed a commercial
recording release, built
a website to market and
distribute the release,
and developed ringtones
from top singles. Certificate
upon completion.

publishing, marketing,
project planning and budgeting,
etc.) are also offered
upon availability. todays

are. they can also protect
their original works and
explore the many possibilities
for distributing their
projects.
